Our Mission

The Arts Council of Livingston Parish is a 501(c)3 non-profit professional arts organization whose mission is to promote art performances, training, and outreach by providing a diverse range of quality programs that entertain, educate and enrich the artistic, cultural and economic vitality of Livingston Parish.

Our commitment is without regard to ethnicity, color, creed, religion, age, gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, military status, marital status, political opinion, mental and physical disability or source of income.

Our goals:

To provide our artists opportunities to exhibit and sell their art in the ACLP gallery and other venues.

To provide "Art in Education" through visual and performing art classes in the elementary schools in Livingston Parish.

To provide visual and performing art instruction at art camps held at the ACLP gallery and "Camp Empowerment" program at the Lockhart Community Center on Martin Luther King Drive in Denham Springs each summer.

To provide visual and performing art classes for adults and children.

We are so pleased to announce the renovations on our building have been completed.  This much needed improvement would have not been possible without the support of Sherwin Williams, James Drug Store and special expertise of Pam McAllister. Remember to support these local businesses that contribute to the community.
