Our Mission
The Arts Council of Livingston Parish is a 501(c)3 non-profit professional arts organization whose mission is to promote art performances, training, and outreach by providing a diverse range of quality programs that entertain, educate and enrich the artistic, cultural and economic vitality of Livingston Parish.
Our commitment is without regard to ethnicity, color, creed, religion, age, gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, military status, marital status, political opinion, mental and physical disability or source of income.
Our goals:
To provide our artists opportunities to exhibit and sell their art in the ACLP gallery and other venues.
To provide "Art in Education" through visual and performing art classes in the elementary schools in Livingston Parish.
To provide visual and performing art instruction at art camps held at the ACLP gallery and "Camp Empowerment" program at the Lockhart Community Center on Martin Luther King Drive in Denham Springs each summer.
To provide visual and performing art classes for adults and children.

Grand Opening and Reception
Saturday, January 16th 10 am – 1 pm
Join us at the Arts Council of Livingston Parish. Guests will enjoy creativity by artists under “safety first” best practices while being inspired by the work of exceptional juried artists.
Our Salute will showcase watercolor, oil and acrylic painting, photography, jewelry, and fiber art. Guests also can enjoy a s’mores bar and hot beverages while taking in fabulous works at our reception on Saturday, January 16, 2021 from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
All guests and vendors will be required to wear a mask and maintain social distancing. Hand sanitizing stations will be available throughout the Arts Center. Signage will remind guests to abide by recommendations in place for the safety of all.
Preserving the Culture of Livingston Parish books will also be available for purchase. This event is free and open to the public.
