 Our Mission 

The Arts Council of Livingston Parish is a 501(c)3 non-profit professional arts organization whose mission is to promote art performances, training, and outreach by providing a diverse range of quality programs that entertain, educate and enrich the artistic, cultural and economic vitality of Livingston Parish.

Our commitment is without regard to ethnicity, color, creed, religion, age, gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, military status, marital status, political opinion, mental and physical disability or source of income.

Our goals:

To provide our artists opportunities to exhibit and sell their art in the ACLP gallery and other venues.

​To provide "Art in Education" through visual and performing art classes in the elementary schools in Livingston Parish.

​To provide visual and performing art instruction at art camps held in Denham Springs each summer.

​To provide visual and performing art classes for adults and children.

The Arts Council of Livingston Parish is currently hosting the

Artist of the Year Shelly Frederick and Student Art Exhibit.

 

 

 

           

 

 

 

 

              Mixed Media Florals painted by Artist of the Year Shelly Frederick.

Young artists are taking advantage of the opportunity

to publicly display their artwork.

Their inspiring work has filled the downtown gallery.

Join us and enjoy their art during the months of March and April.

  The mediums include acrylic, watercolor, mixed media

and photography, too!

Join us for the reception on Saturday, April 20

from 10:30 am until 1:30 pm.

Spotlight Theater Players will perform, "Elvis Has Left the Building."

Spotlight Theater Players will perform, "Elvis Has Left the Building," May 2nd - 4th at 7 pm and a special 2 pm VIP Matinee performance on Saturday, May 4 at Luke 10:27 in Denham Springs. Randie Bertrand and the KCO band and backup vocalist will perform a short tribute to Elvis concert before the play.

The audience will receive a small meal of "Love Me Tenders and Polk "pasta" Salad" at this performance as well. 

Please join us for this comical play where Elvis is missing, and the Colonel is "All Shook Up" trying to find him to help pay off a debt he has racked up gambling.
