Artist of the year 2025

Melani Glascock is a theatre artist, arts educator, and long-time arts advocate whose work has made a lasting impact on Livingston Parish. She serves as a Talented Theatre Arts Instructor with the Livingston Parish Public School System, where she inspires students through performance, collaboration, and creative storytelling.

Melani has served on the Arts Council of Livingston Parish Board of Directors for more than eight years and is the newly elected Vice President of the Board for 2026. Her leadership and dedication have supported arts education, community programming, festivals, and advocacy efforts that strengthen access to the arts across the parish.

Through her work in schools and the community, Melani continues to cultivate creativity, confidence, and connection. The Arts Council of Livingston Parish is proud to honor her as Artist of the Year 2025.
